At Keyot our core values don’t live on the walls of our offices – rather, they come alive in the communities we serve.
At Keyot we are guided by our five core values:
- Give Time and Wisdom
- Drive to Win
- Lead the Way
- Care About You
- Love What We Do
Every decision, big and small, that we make on behalf of our clients, consultants, back office team and the communities we serve is anchored in our alignment with these five values. When faced with a challenge or opportunity presenting multiple paths, our reflex is to look to our core values for guidance. As part of our onboarding process, every back office employee and consultant is introduced to our core values very early in their relationship with Keyot. They are truly embedded in our organizational DNA.
At the heart of ‘Give Time and Wisdom’ is generosity. Over the years, Keyot has demonstrated this core value in dozens of relationships and opportunities. Our latest relationship is another example of making our core values come to life in the service of our communities.
In 2019, Keyot formed a relationship with The Sheridan Story, a Twin Cities-based non-profit organization focused on fighting childhood hunger in Minnesota. During the spring of 2010, the school administration at Sheridan Elementary in Northeast Minneapolis discovered students hoarding food from the cafeteria on Fridays. The Sheridan Story began by providing one bag of non-perishable food to 27 kindergarteners each weekend in 2010. Over the next two years, the program was gradually opened to all students at Sheridan School, reaching more than 300 students in 2012. The Sheridan Story has grown from serving one school with a weekend food program to implementing multiple food gap programs serving over 10,000 children across 300 locations.
In February of this year, Keyot expanded our partnership with The Sheridan Story by adopting two schools in the Twin Cities. Each Friday during the school year, Keyot team members volunteer to discreetly distribute bags of food into the backpacks of the children who need them. In addition to happily volunteering our time, Keyot provides financial support to the schools to be able to offer this program to the students who need it. In a word, our team has felt pure JOY by being able to partner with The Sheridan Story and directly serve two of the schools in our immediate business community.
Keyot’s core values weren’t born with the launch of the company back in 2008. The ideas of generosity, service, caring and leading were instilled in our founders as kids growing up. The seeds that were planted early on have grown to become the foundation of a generous culture that makes Keyot truly unique.
