Giving Back
Keyot is committed to giving back to the community at large. They invite everyone in the organization, along with their families, to donate time to those in need. Here are Keyot's most recent happenings:
Operation Minnesota Nice
Operation Minnesota Nice (OMN) is an organization that facilitates the donations and delivery of care packages to America’s armed forces overseas that don’t have family or friends supporting them. It started in early 2004 when a soldier wrote his mother thanking her for a care package and letter, but asked if she would send a package to some of the other soldiers in his platoon who never receive mail. He said that his fellow service men and women were feeling forgotten and as though no one at home cared about the sacrifices they were making. She was so moved by her son’s words that she “adopted” the other soldiers sending them care packages every three or four weeks. The word spread about the dejected solders and soon family and friends began sending packages to other soldiers not receiving support. OMN was officially started soon after, and today OMN serves over 6,307 soldiers and ships more than 314,379 pounds annually. The packages sent have a huge impact on our soldiers deployed. Keyot has sent over 250 pounds of “care” items to our soldiers. We are proud to be AMERICANS!!

Ronald McDonald House
The week of Thanksgiving, 2009 brought the Keyot team to the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis. We prepared and served a home-cooked dinner to over 70 people. The Ronald McDonald House acts as a true home, school, and community center for families of children who require very specialized and urgent medical care at local hospitals. Their mission statement: Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest creates, finds, and supports programs that provide a caring community for families with seriously ill children while increasing children's access to health care services.
We encourage you to learn more on their website.

Project Management for Kids
A special "project" close to our hearts! In 2009, Keyot worked with the Gateway school in Woodbury, MN, helping the fourth grade class manage a fundraising effort focused on helping a grade school in Galveston, TX that was hit hard by Hurricane Ike. The class raised over $3,000, learning basic project planning, management, organizational, and team-building skills.
